Basics

Unity's Triumph roleplay is a serious fantasy roleplay set on a world in a distant galaxy far in the far future. Serious roleplay means acting like you're in a character's shoe and pretending the world around you is real. This roleplay features a somewhat standard fantasy setting but with a slight twist in that technology is far more advanced than in say, Lord of the Rings. The primary setting features technology advanced as around the year 1875 in the United States. Basic rules of server ettiquet apply. Respect the admins, try not to troll, be friendly, don't dm, prop spam, or prop surf, all of that kind of thing.

Story

In a galaxy that lies so far away a human mind could barely grasp the distance, a planet moves slowly through its innards. Unlike our own, this world is teeming with diverse intelligent life, each species with different cultures and abilities. On each side of the world are two vast continents separated by an even vaster ocean, one filled with massive, cataclysmic storms that bring folly on any coast or ship in their grasp. Without much of a connection to another, each continent contains separate forms of intelligent life.

On the vast continent of Aduro, species such as the Vila, Wendigo, Lamia, Elves, Dwarves, and Humans exist in a mostly peaceful state. Though many nations exist on Aduro, one has grown the most powerful by far. Saria sprung out of existence thousands of years ago, originally a human nation, and it has lasted to the present day, along with its original ruler, an immortal, wise, and powerful Lamia. With her intellect and diplomatic abilities, this Lamia eventually united all races nearby under one banner, and in the present day, they live together in harmony and work to make Saria as strong as it can possibly be. Saria has a strong view on combining the old and new, that being magic and technology, many of its people seeing practical applications in both. Currently, the entire nation has entered a late Industrial age.

However, though many species evolved on the opposite side of the world as well, one species was not content with viewing those who shared the land which they strode upon as equals.. A race of human-like people called the Rallon have created an Empire not by diplomacy, but through conquest. This Empire is called Saragon, and while Saria across the sea believe in the uses of both technology and magic, Saragon has taken a liking solely to the former. And also unlike Saria, Saragon encompasses the whole of the continent it originated on, Blackrock (Not the native name.). They grow stronger by the day as the entire nation progresses out of the Industrial age and into the Atomic age.

They are all manners of advanced, controlling high-altitude prop aircraft, nation-wide railroads, powerful medicines, electricity created through fossil-fuel powerful plants, moderately reliable automobiles, and most importantly: steel ships with advanced radar and navigational equipment. Though contact between the two continents has been going on for two hundred years, for the first time Saragonian ships are easily able to navigate across the treacherous seas. And slowly, but surely, Saragon is turning imperialistic eyes towards Saria and its neighboring nations.
